Striving to represent the world we live in, The British Museum has continuously sought to build up a collection of artifacts that accurately represent changes and continuities throughout the world. The Modern Museum Fund will be dedicated to the enrichment of the modern and contemporary holdings across the Museum's collections.
The goal for the Modern Museum Fund over 2007 – 2008 is to raise $600,000 which can be applied toward active collection in three areas: the Middle East, Japan and North America.
There is a suggested donation of $10,000 annually, though we welcome all gifts.
Individuals giving at or above the suggested amount of $10,000 will receive the following communications and invitations:
- Annual Acquisitions report
- Invitations to international dinners both in the US and London
- Access to curatorial expertise through a series of small lectures
